My Christmas in 2008

I know it is too much to post something that has happened for around 6 months back. I am still determined to create this post as I felt that it is a waste not to put up such lovely, yet colourful photos during Xmas 2008.

This is the 8 feet tall xmas tree standing grandly in the dining hall
with countless xmas presents beneath it.
Presents which will be exchanged among relatives right after the makan event !

My aunt organised an Xmas Luncheon specifically for family members. I have to wake up early in the morning to help out in the kitchen. I was not the only helper. A few more relatives were around to give my aunt a hand.

After enduring much hardship, the time has finally come. Food were served on the gigantic table in the dining hall and the number of guests were seen to be increasing. There was not enough time and I have not even taken my bath yet!! Everyone who entered the kitchen saw a pyjamas clad gal busy with the fryer, preparing one of the last dishes for the event...!!

What to do? I had to take my mother's role since she was not around. My sis was sick and my parents had to stay back in hometown n look after her.

Ok. My uncle did a good job in decorating/ garnishing the dishes as well as arranging them nicely on the dining table. His attentiveness has made the dining hall a colorful & attractive place to be in. The food definitely teased my tastebuds once I laid my eyes upon them.

An abundance of food for everyone on Xmas Day !

Some food were prepared by the guests. Every family brought something to be shared among the others as well. Let's take a look at the yummy-licious food...

The Main Attraction: Roast Turkey
( Dish that requires the most time to prepare ) :

Yes. It is roast turkey. Took around 2 hours plus to get it fully cooked / roasted. My youngest aunt did a good job in it.

This is fried LOBAK
( pardon me muslim frenz, this is made from non halal meat )

Fried mee hoon ( prepared my Supin, my aunt's maid)

Salad ( by my cousin sister )

Roast lamb ( ordered from a caterer )
Ham ( brought by another cousin sister )

Spaghetti & Sauce ( prepared by a relative who is the owner of Strawberry Cafe,PJ )

Santa Claus Agar-agar ( bought by a relative )

Fried Rice
Cocktail sausages
& etc.
Everyone were happy and glad to have gathered up and have this celebration. Family members' bondage grow stronger from constant get- togethers. We exchanged presents after the luncheon. By the end of the day, everyone left the place with a smile attached on their faces...

My Dream Guy !!

It was love at first sight I presume and I am deeply attracted to him. Never in my wildest dream have I ever thought of meeting him in Genting .It may sound insane but you have to believe it or not!!

There are a few qualities which I totally like about him:-
1. He is tall. He is only slightly shorter than me when he sits and I stand.
2. He is honest. He showed me his true feelings right on the spot whether he liked me or
3. He is friendly. He tried looking for friends around him but people naturally avoided him.
Maybe the way he approached people tend to scare them off.
4. He has a big body structure. His bones are well seen especially his collar bones. They are
totally awesome.
5. He smiles all the time with a sincere heart, organs...?

OK OK..!! I know you want to know who this person is. You want to get a peek on who this lucky/unlucky guy can be. I managed to get a snapshot with him. He was real camera shy but he was happy to take a pic with me. Hahahaha. I am shy also..paiseh-lah to show off his pic wit me..hehe.

Shall let u have a peek ? You guys will sure like him one..n im scared you gals out there will envy me...want a countdown ?

WHAT !!! At least he showed me his true self without freaking me out the next time..!!

*This is plainly a JOKE !! Please do not take this seriously....

Gloria Jeans & me

I have been going in and out of Plaza IBM for the past one year and FINALLY, I get to have a grip on Gloria Jeans' Coffee. My boss from SG who came to visit the people in my dept treated us coffee on a Friday morning.

Besides treating us coffee, he bought something else, which is hot chocolate but the other colleagues got to them first..therefore, I have to take coffee...

Anyway, Gloria Jeans is not as popular as Starbucks or Coffee Bean . It may be because Gloria did not promote her own products as massive as the other brands in Malaysia....

However, Gloria do have a wider selection of chocolate drinks which looks yummy to me like White Hot Chocolate, Hot Chocolate with Marshmallows and etc.

Maybe because Gloria is a lady herself n therefore, she give as much as 50% off for any lady who walks in and purchase any drink or sandwich on Tuesdays...!! Guys, get your girlfriends to buy for you if u want cheaper coffee or sandwiches on Tuesdays.

Ok, back to the story lah...the cup of coffee was too big for me and I have to add a few packets of sugar into it as I have a sweet tooth. Hope I won't get diabetic at this age. sobs..

And out of the blue , two silly gals took a snapshot of themselves..as if they were promoting the product. Hope that this photo won't tarnish the image that Gloria built.

Nyonya Full Moon Box

When i first saw this box, I thought someone gave me a cake ....but I am wrong!!
It is a Full Moon Package given to me by a colleague who delivered a cute baby boy on 23 Feb 2009.

Before I got it open, i tried to figure out how much does a box of full moon thingy cost ? This one muz be quite expensive judging by the quality of the cardbox plus the colours and design....

The food in it looks yummy !! There were 2 Red Hard Boiled Eggs which is a must for those celebrating their baby's full moon. Then there were a box of Nasi Kunyit with a Rendang Chicken Thigh. Lastly, there were 2 local kuih called as 'Ang Ku' among the people from my hometown.

Folks , thats how a Nyonya Style Full Moon Package looks like ! I enjoyed the food. Hope u enjoyed looking at the pictures...:P

My New Third Home !!

This is the place I have to face 8 hours a day, 5 times a week !! Of course, where else would it be if it is not my own workstation in IBM Malaysia?

I have just shifted to this new corner after another dept manager expanded her territory , where my previous workstation is in her land. Sounds like I was pushed away !! 2 colleagues shifted their places as well as we were of the same fate !!

We thought we were goin to be refugees but we managed to get our own workstation juz two rows away from my previous place. I loved this new location and I kind of added some colors to my place to make it look more colorful than it's usual self. See for yourself !

Welcome to my corner !! That's how simple it is .

I got the leaflets from restaurants around One U just to add some flavors to the partitons. At least I have some colourful pictures to see..!! Totally F.O.C. somemore. That would be my Thinkpad of course, n u can see a teddy bear is peeking out from the screen. Cute !!
Another reason why I loved this place is because there are windows stretached to the other end of the building which is juz a few steps away from me. So when Im so stressed up with work, I can just jump down from here ..haha !!

The blinds don't really block the view of the outside world

I get to see KL Tower, Plaza Vads and also Telekom Tower from my place when the sky is extremely clear...

Lastly, this is my neighbour's place. She is away for the day so I can only show you her place.

My new neighbour's place.
I have another neighbour just behind the partition...but it seems like she has not given me that photo as I borrowed her camera to take these few pixy. Guess she must have deleted that photo as she would prefer to be anonymous in my blog !!
