Kong Sai Chai @ Paramount Garden

It was the eve of Raya when Issac called up his fave Kakis for lunch.....consisting of Ah Kit, Joey, Issac himself , me and my sis loh...

We ended up having lunch in Kong Sai Chai , a chinese restaurant at Paramount Garden....He discovered this place by accident when I gave him some wrong directions in a previous incident ...kekeke

Apparently, there r a total of 4 branches of Kong Sai Chai ...( in Puchong, Sunway, Subang & of course, PJ)

Pig stomach soup ( spicy as they put in a lot of pepper )

Fish ball wrapped in Tau Fu Pok skin ...

Do I need to explain this one ? It's so obvious loh...

Pork rib curry ( the curry was nice )

Steamed Duck ...(Duck is so so only loh...)

This is White Skin Chicken 

( The mixed ginger sauce was superb. Loved it a lot . The chicken meat was nice as well )

Verdict : Food in this place is considered nice loh....better than the chicken rice ball experience in Malacca-loh...!

Hari Raya Trip to Malacca (2010)

It was the first day of  raya.. My parents were out here to give us a visit until my dad suggested that we have a one day trip to Malacca ...!! 

Then , we were there the next morning !!

Jojobing , not being the driver .....slept all the way to Malacca once we went into the highway !! wahahaha...

First Stop : BRUNCH (B.fast + Lunch) @ Restaurant Famosa Chicken Rice Ball

After we ordered what we wanted to eat, I have nothing better to do than to start working my fave PINKY ( camera)  

Chilli Sauce (OK-ler , as described by my sis)

Atmosphere: Colourful n  felt like the space wasn't enough ....i believe that's the style of people doin business along Jonker Street ...!!

Durian Chendol ....

We wanted to try the one from Jonker 88 Restaurant which well known for it's chendol...but the line is too long and the weather was hot !! So we decided to try the one in this restaurant ....

Verdict : OK -ler ( as described by my sis as she prefers to eat the flesh of durian itself )

Y is it you can't see any comments from me??

Cuz I dun take Durian n Chilli is not my fave either ...kekekeke

Finally , the awaited food arrived :-

RICE BALLS ( looked like fried fish balls to me )

Roasted Chicken N White Skinned Chicken !! - Loved the one in Kampar better ...wahaha

Roast Pork: Acceptable-lah...the skin is not as crunchy as I expected loh....

Jaya Palace's one is still the best !! wakakaka

Cold Chicken Feet in Thai Sauce ....

I like this one...the legs are crunchy ...krap krap krap...

Nyaaaaaammmmm......

          

Now you see what's inside the rice ball ....it's rice! ahaha

The texture was some sort like Nasi Himpit sold in satay stalls...

Same concept loh..

Verdict : I prefer original looking rice rather than the ones compressed to look like a ping pong ball...

Did not feel like I was eating rice at all !!

Summary : I prefer Nasi Ayam ....Not Chicken Rice Ball...wahaha...anyway, eating it once in a while is still OK..

Maybe I shud try the ever famous Chung Wah Restaurant selling the same thing ....

Full Moon Package

A colleague's baby full moon lo...so Ms Jojobing got a chance to eat a Full Moon Set in the office. 

This means FREE LUNCH for me !! Wahaha !! 

Let's take a look what's inside....

Sudah lama tarak makan Nasi Kunyit ler....It was nice ...so was the curry !! 

Portion was big ...till I cannot finish the whole box of food ...keke

The Kuih Ang Ku were nice. They have 2 flavours. 1 was the normal one while the other is one with peanuts...

Being a busybody , I looked all over the box to korek some info of these nice food. 

You also wanna buy or book full moon boxes like the one above ?? u see for yourself lah. 

Gua manyak letih...sudah mau tidok !

Kampar Food: Tastes that can't be forgotten

I might have exagerated a bit but it's true that food from Kampar is delicious ...!! Undeniable !! wahahaha

These are some of the well responsed food in my beloved hometown:-

1. Laksa @ 36 stalls

Ngam ngam served !!

After I mixed everything together....

THE GREAT STALL OWNER ...!!

His laksa is the best in town..all my paternal relatives who loves to eat laksa love his recipe !!

During the weekends or public holidays, dun even think of getting a bowl without waiting for like 15 mins (at least ) !!

2. Jao Yuen & Fu Pei @ 36 Stall ( next to the laksa stall)

10 cents a piece of Jao Yuen. The cheapest n crunchiest in town !! 

The stall also sells noodle soup which is nice too...

It was believed that a cousin in law of mine can munch down 200 pieces of these akmost everytime he comes to Kampar...( if im not mistaken of the statement )

3. Beef Stomach Soup ( Ngao Lam Tong) @ 36 Stall 

Darn nice beef soup...this stall used to be located in front of Gospel Hall church when I was still in primary school. The main dish this stall sell is none other than their oh-so-famous Char Siew Wantan Mee...

4. Honey comb cake/cookie ( Sak Ke Ma) @ Kampar Market (by an old man)

Not Too Sweet....& not too hard to bite ...

Ngam ngam nice !! Great ....

Hooters / The Arena @ Clarke Quay

Who's that smoking hot babe wearing black HOT pants??? 

She's none other than one of the waitresses working in Hooters !! 

What's Hooters? 

It's a restaurant located at Clarke Quay serving western food ...with an interior concept like Chillis?

Wearing HOT pants and a body wrapping sleeveless top is the uniform at Hooters!!

Beef Fondue - the beef cutlets were so tender...

Sour & Spicy Fried Chicken Wings...tasted like Fried Lam Yu Chicken wings to me !!

Earlier she got Brain Freeze ....now she caught tongue cramp !! Pity ....

Our first night outing on our SG trip ended after midnight ....It was tiring MENTALLY ...but all of us had fun though !!

Hokaido Ice Cream @ Clarke Quay

Mmmmm.... Hokaido Ice-Cream.!! This was the second time I tried ice-cream from this particular outlet in Central Plaza, Clarke Quay, SG..!! 

I took Green Tea ice -cream on my first attempt.. During my recent trip to SG, I tried Black Sesame flavour.

Spoilt with choices !!

April took Rum & Raisin while our Brain Frozen friend here took Green Tea !!

My Black Sesame Ice Cream...yummy-licious...but i prefer Green Tea.

There were 2 pretty foreigners singing Latino songs ...with throngs of people dancing to the music !!

After that,3 of us carried on our venture in Clarke Quay whilst searching for dinner !!
