Cina New Year 2010

AAAAA....sad loh. The holidays came and went away sooo fast !! Faster than F1 racecars...

The worst thing about the end of holidays is the fact that I have to start WORK again.

OK-loh...I know it's time to get back to reality already. However, Im goin to miss the times I was with my frenz though I dun think I talked much throughout the time.
Their laughter and jokes were the best !!

First day of CNY at the usual place !!

This gang of  humans went around a few people's house lah throughout the CNY...
Besides visiting people's house, we also had our Annual CNY Reunion Lunch one...this time, we had it in East Ocean-loh....

Cheeseee!!

Can spot me ? muhaha..
another snap..

Aiya, do u think that we are so boring meh....as if we only go makan together, visit people's house and chat together...

Surely we play games which involve everyone around...
V played "Happy Family"-loh...some even played "bricks" !!

Then surely there were photo taking sessions...

After that mah everyone "San Ben" lah..
How do u find my experience during CNY 2010 ?

By the way, the weather was freaking HOT HOT HOT EVERYDAY !! Not one minute less

Cendol and ABC

Right now, I am not thirsty ...but I feel like I want to gulp down some Chendol or even Ais Kacang (some say ABC) from one particular stall in Kampar. This stall owner has been operating his business with his wife for at least the past 15 years...

Where ? It's one of the stalls nearby the bus station ler. These stalls used to do business right next to the bus station before they got relocated behind the shophouses opposite Minat supermarket, which is still nearby the bus station..hehe
The row of stalls where the chendol man is located at ...!!
The particular stall which Im talking about !!
Cannot see the owner's face aaa?? Wait wait wait ..
This is the best shot I can get !! Recognise him and BONG CHAN him ...
This place sells the best Chendol I have ever tasted so far.The taste beats even the ones from Melaka, PJ or anywhere else..hehehe.The ABC is also good..

Chendol :The combination formulae was great ...

ABC: A mixture of colourful ingredients surely increase one's appetite !!

Uhuhuhu...when can I get to drink ....I wanna go back hometown...!!

Pre - Wedding Day Dinner Buffet

Seriously, Im not sure why the Chinese will have a Pre-Wedding Dinner / Party right before the wedding day of either the bride or groom !! Anyone to enlighten me about it ?

Well, it was my cousin sister's wedding in July 2009 and as a younger cousin, I did help out whatever way I could since her family lack manpower to do a thousand things in a short time.

U mesti sudah tak sabar want to know who this cousin was...BUT Im not goin to show her face to you in this POST. The main characters of this post are my ever good friends ' KAMPAR FOOD' ahahahahahaa..

It was a Friday evening and I was in this house in Bandar Baru doing tasks non-stop. I did all sorts of task ...from food cutting , chair arranging to rubbish throwing..EXCEPT one task - COOKING !! NOT because I can't cook ...( I can cook one ok !! ) ...but because my aunt ordered these food all around Kampar..kekekeke..

Fine fine...without wasting time, I show you some of the dishes that were served.

Kampar Famous - Ham Kok Zhai

Long time no eat !!

Kampar Market Fei Po (Fat Lady) - Fried Po Piah

I missed you guys dearly ....

Fried Fish Balls
Okay..this is nothing special...but they are served as well, so I mah took a PIC loh

Relative Made - Superb Achar

One darn good appetizer. 80% guests praised its tastiness..

Fried Seafood Tofu

Kam Ling Restaurant's Fried - Fried Gang

From below to top : Fried Chicken, Fried Rice, Fried Mihun & Fried Mee

Roast Pork

Aunt made dessert - Red Bean Tong Sui

People said it was superb. Habis jual in a glimpse ..!!

and etc....( I forgot what else were served ...)

These are plainly backups or reserves for late comers ma....so the kitchen was indeed in a chaotic situation...but I did manage to find a small spot to have my personal feast...hehehehe

Super Combo - Mixture of almost every dish I could fine that night...

Well....that was a night where all tasty memories came rushing back and flooded my brain & taste buds...all those times I longed for hometown food were there in front of my eyes in one shot ..
In conclusion, I had a great time that night ...

* more about the wedding will come to you soon, Stay tuned ...!!

Tastiest Food on EARTH !!

I am glad to be born in Kampar and get a taste of this edible ' THING' !! I get to eat it since I was small...and of course, I grew up with it. I never forget the existence of this yummy thing , which I categorise as 'SNACK' ...

Muahaha...You must be thinking ...what is so BA BAI / Great about this delicacy ?
I show you lah ...

Ladies & gentlemen,

This is my favourite SNACK ...it is called as "JAO YUEN" (in Cantonese-lah)...
I dunno what it is called as in English so I may just call it "Fried Ball" ?

It is made of flour and some extremely minced fish meat before it is dumped into a wok of hot oil that turns it into golden brown in color....Well, u can find it in almost any noodle stall in town..However, the ones I love most come from a place called "36 Stalls" - Behind Kam Ying restaurant...

Talking bout it makes me start drooling...I MISS IT ...I MISS u, Kampar Jao Yuen...

YUMMY !! I know, I am a glutton !! Whenever I post sth bout food, I also commented YUMMY !!
